T20 World Cup: Team India announced their complete squad Ashwin returned to the team
BCCI has announced the Indian team for the ICC T20 World Cup on Wednesday. Led by Virat Kohli, 32 players, including Suryakumar Yadav and Ravichandran Ashwin, have been added to the 15 members’ squad. One thing surprising us is the elimination of Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw in the playing XI. Apart from these two, Shreyas Iyer has been selected on the Indian team as a standby. Young players like Rahul Chahar Axar Patel and Varun Chakraborty have also been selected in the 15-man squad. Shreyas Iyer, Deepak Chahar, and Shardul Thakur have been kept in the team as standbys. The captain, cool Mahendra Singh Dhoni, former captain of team India, has been selected by BCCI as the mentor of the Indian team for this T20 World Cup.

Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw remained unselected
The openers of the Indian team for all formats like Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan could not register their name in this T20 World Cup’s playing list. In addition, both the openers have scored lots of runs in the series against Sri Lanka. However, this time the selection committee did not select both of these players. Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav have been selected to the team. Suryakumar Yadav got this chance because of his consistent performance in the previous matches. Yadav has made his T20 International and ODI debut this year. Suryakumar Yadav has impressed the management and selection committee with his brilliant performance. Especially he did a brilliant job against Sri Lanka recently. Apart from this, the selectors have shown trust in Ishan Kishan as well. Ishaan has hit a half-century in his debut match in T20.
Surprising comeback Ravichandran Ashwin
The selection of Ravichandran Ashwin in the T20 World Cup is is completely shocking for most cricket fans. This senior spinner of the Indian team had not played a T20 International match for team India for the last four years. Ashwin has played his last T20 International match on 9th July 2017, which was played against the team West Indies in Kingston.
