Match Preview
The Indian Football League 2020-21 carries on as we saw Bengaluru and Goa sharing the spoils in an exciting 2-2 draw at the Fatorda Stadium. On Tuesday, the action will move to the Tilak Maidan as the Indian Indian Football League 2019-20 runners-up Chennai take on Jamshedpur.
The entire season of the Indian Football League is being conducted across three stadiums (Fatorda Stadium, Tilak Maidan, and GMC Stadium) with the bio-bubble ecosystem setup in Goa amidst the COVID-19 pandemic situation.
Jamshedpur has struggled to make it to the playoffs and last season was their worst performance in the Indian Football League. So, the management decided to overhaul the squad and have appointed Owen Coyle to steer the ship to more successful shores in coming seasons. The Men of Steel also promoted several young players from their academy and are looking to build a long-term project under the Scotsman’s tutelage.
Chennai, on the other hand, has replaced Coyle with Hungarian Csaba Laszlo, and have undertaken somewhat of a rebuild, with five new foreigners in the squad this season.
