World T20 Cup Highlights: Pakistan has ultimately won against its neighbors on 24th Oct, 2021. They did it without losing a wicket and with 13 balls remaining.

Pakistan beat India for the 13th time in World Cups and did it convincingly on a night when practically everything went according to plan for them. Shaheen Shah Afridi was the night’s greatest performer, with his dramatic uprooting of the openers with the new ball, but everyone in the supporting cast performed admirably, including the openers’ nerveless chase.

Team India

Virat Kohli was not at his best, but his 57 off 49 balls was the saving grace in India’s mediocre 151 for 7 against Pakistan in their first Super 12 encounter of the T20 World Cup.

His 29th half-century in T20 Internationals wasn’t as impressive as some of his other innings, but it was vital because it helped to diffuse a potentially dangerous scenario created by Shaheen Shah Afridi’s (3/31 in 4 overs) terrifying opening performance. At the death, Shaheen contributed by removing the Indian skipper in the penultimate over.

Kohli has gotten support from Rishabh Pant (39 off 30 balls) during a 53-run partnership, but he had to perform the brunt of the heavy work in a pressure cooker situation, which he has been used to for the previous decade.

On a surface that isn’t exactly batting-friendly, his performance included five fours and a six as India managed a score that would give the bowlers at least something to fight for.

Team Pakistan

Pakistan 152/0 ( Mohammad Rizwan (W) 79, Babar Azam (C) 68)

Shami’s final over also ends out to be the final over of the match, with Rizwan smashing a six and back-to-back fours to reduce the equation to single digits, followed by a single, and Babar returning for a second to seal the deal. Babar Azam, the captain, led the chase from the front, striking an undefeated 68 and guiding Pakistan to victory with 13 balls to spare. Pakistan thrashed India by 10 wickets, with opener Mohammad Rizwan scoring an unbeaten 79.

Pakistan beat India by 10 wickets, the first time the Men in Blue have been defeated by a 10-wicket margin in Twenty20 Internationals, and break their World Cup winless streak.
