Match Preview: IND vs AUS 2nd ODI

Everyone’s eyes will be on the Indian team as they venture out for the second ODI in a similar arena where they were convincingly beaten by Aaron Finch’s Australia in the 1st ODI. India is following 1-0 of every three-match series, which makes the second ODI an absolute necessity wins for the guests. A little mistake would mean India losing the Series – and this isn’t the way needs to begin the series. India will want to show a superior bowling and handling execution in the center at SCG on Sunday, while the hosts will just hope to rehash a comparable execution.

IND vs AUS 2nd ODI: Team News

India (IND)

Kohli would look to make some changes in India playing 11 for the second ODI and may include Kuldeep Yadav in place of Yuzvendra Chahal, who leaked 89 runs in 10 overs. While Shardul Thakur may replace Navdeep Saini, who conceded 83 runs in 10 Overs.

It is highly unlikely that India’s combination will change unless both Yuzvendra Chahal and Navdeep Saini are declared unfit. Saini has back spasms and Thangarasu Natarajan has been inducted in the 50-over squad as a cover. In case they are ruled out, Shardul Thakur, with decent batting abilities, could replace Saini, and Kuldeep Yadav’s inclusion will be a forced change.

Australia (AUS)

For Australia, Marcus Stoinis’s injury would be a concern and if failed to get match fit then Cameron Green may replace him as Steve Smith hinted after the match. “If he is not (fit) then someone has to come in, he has to bowl, yes perhaps Cameron Green,” said Smith. Moises Henriques leads the race to replace him in the playing XI.
