The face-off between team Delhi and Hyderabad took place on 22nd September 2021. Team Delhi has managed to maintain their winning streak with the victory against Hyderabad in the second leg of the Indian T20 league. After beating Hyderabad with eight wickets, Delhi has now captured the first position in the Indian T20 Leagues points table. This is the seventh victory of team Delhi of the 14th season. This victory has also almost confirmed their place in the playoffs race.
The given target of 135 runs by team Sunrisers was easily chased by team Delhi; the credit goes to the two openers Shreyas Iyer and captain Rishabh pant, who contributed 47 runs and 35 runs each. Due to their marvelous batting, the team managed to finish the chasing before 13 balls. Apart from these openers, Shikhar Dhawan also played a great inning and contributed 42 runs to the team’s victory against Hyderabad.

Team Hyderabad innings
First, let’s talk about the top-order batsman of team Hyderabad, which includes David Warner, Wriddhiman Saha, and captain Kane Williamson. Where Warner got out without opening his account, Saha and Captain Kane Williamson scored 18 runs each, while Manish Pandey scored only 17 runs so far.
The captain of team Hyderabad, Kane Williamson, got to lifelines before he got out. Team Delhi dropped 2 easy sketches of Kane Williamson, one was by Rishabh pant, and the second was by Prithvi Shaw. However, these two changes were useless for Kane Williamson as he could not take advantage of these lifelines and got out by scoring only 18 runs. Kedar Jadhav could not do anything special for the team, and he got out after scoring three runs. Jason holder also had the chance to prove his batting skills against Delhi, but he also failed to do so.
At some point captain, Kane Williamson and Manish Pandey have added 31 runs partnership for the third wicket, but Axar Patel broke this partnership as he sent Captain Kane Williamson to the pavilion.
Team Delhi Innings
While chasing the target of 135 runs, team Delhi was looking confident as they chased the target very easily. The opening batsman Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan have given a great start to the team. However, Prithvi Shaw was dismissed, as he was caught by Kane Williamson of Khaleel Ahmed’s ball. However, Dhawan was in another remote, and he stayed at the crease after Shaw’s dismissal.
Shikhar Dhawan and Shreyas Iyer have done a great job, which kept team Delhi out of pressure. Dhawan was able to convert every week ball into big shots, and he scored 37 runs which included six fours and 1 six. Dhawan’s shorts were very attractive; however, while trying for the second six, he got out in Rashid Khan’s ball.
For team Delhi, Rabada took 3 wickets for 37 runs in his 4 overs spell. Also, Axar Patel and Anrich Nortje took 2-2 wickets each.
