Bangalore Innings
The top batsman of Bangalore Glenn Maxwell, Virat Kohli, and AB de Villiers was dismissed at 5, 10, and 0, respectively. After these three big wickets, team Bangalore was at the score of 63/5. The brilliant bowlers Varun Chakravarthy and Sunil Narine then took command of the middle order and bowled them out easily.
Captain Virat Kohli started the match with a 4 to the covers; however, in the next ball of Prasidh, Krishna he got out. Kohli also took a review; however, the Umpire found the decision right, and this is how team Bangalore lost their first review in the second over of the innings. After the dismissal of KS Bharat, the entire responsibility was transferred to Glenn Maxwell and AB de Villiers.
Here, Andre Russell showed his greater skills of Yorker bowling, and he extinguished the hopes of Bangalore by taking the wicket of AB de Villiers. AB de Villiers got out as Golden duck in the hands of Andre Russell. The batting side of Bangalore dried up the scoreboard, and the frustration of Glenn Maxwell was easily noticeable as he only crawled for ten runs in 16 balls. Maxwell was unable to hit a single boundary in 16 balls.
Varun Chakravarthy hat-trick helped Kolkata

All five Kolkata bowlers dominated the batting department of Bangalore and troubled them to even score 92 runs.

Shubman Gill and Iyer made the run chase very easy for the team as they started with the billion shots hitting. Gil was very fluent with people shorts and cover-drive, and he was very near to finish his half-century of the Indian T20 league. He dominated Kyle Jamieson and also welcomed that spinner use Yuzvendra Chahal with two snapshots.
When Kolkata had 56 Runs on the scoreboard, they needed another 24 balls only to finish the innings. Shubman Gill held out the long-off in the 10th over and also the final over. Along with Gill, Iyer hit three fours to Yuzvendra Chahal’s balls and sealed the victory for Kolkata.
