Bangalore vs Kolkata Match Preview Indian T20 League
On Wednesday, April 26, the 36th match of the Indian T20 League (IPL) 2023 will take place in Bengaluru’s M Chinnaswamy Stadium. It will feature a heavyweight match between Faf du Plessis’ Bangalore (RCB) and the twice-champion Kolkata (KKR).
Bangalore will be going into the match off of a dramatic victory against the Sanju Samson-led Rajasthan, which they won by a score of seven runs. But Kolkata suffered a defeat against Chennai in their last match. When they face RCB next, the team, which is captained by Nitish Rana, will be eager to resume their winning ways.
Bangalore vs Kolkata Team Preview
Team Bangalore
After a 7-run win over Rajasthan in the last match, Virat Kohli would be happy with his team’s performance. The team is confident playing at home because they have won three of their last four matches. The middle order has been one of the team’s biggest worries, therefore the Bangalore captain would like to see it improve.
The pair will have to get off to a strong start. Shahbaz Ahmed and Mahipal Lomror are needed to help the middle order, which has struggled despite Glenn Maxwell’s contributions. Down the order, Suyash Prabhudessai, Wanindu Hasaranga, and Dinesh Karthik must all contribute with the bat.
Hasaranga, who has a lot of experience, will need to bowl well beside Maxwell in the middle overs. Given that their bowlers haven’t been in the best of form, Vijaykumar Vyshak and Harshal Patel must excel as the supporting cast.
Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis have been in outstanding form, scoring nearly 700 runs between them.
A result of his effective bowling, Mohammad Siraj will share the new ball with David Willey and try to score quickly.
Team Kolkata
The team of Nitish Rana has hit a mid-season crisis. They had a strong starting, but their form has dipped and they’ve lost four straight going into this game. They had an unsuccessful effort from their bowlers in the last match, losing by 49 runs after giving up 235 runs when bowling first. To win, the team’s players must come together, and the bowling attack must perform well. They need N Jagadeesan and Sunil Narine to get off to a strong start because the starting combination has struggled to get going in most games.
The batting lineup for KKR is powerful, and they are counting on the power-hitting combination of David Weise, Andre Russell, and Rinku Singh to deliver in the decisive moments.
In the middle order, Venkatesh Iyer, Jason Roy, and Nitish Rana will need to perform well.
Umesh Yadav and David Wiese must bowl strong stints with the new ball for the bowlers to make pace.
